As the Hajj season approaches, Saudi Arabia is implementing measures to manage the flow of travelers and maintain safety during this peak period. In line with these efforts, the Kingdom has announced a temporary suspension of short-term visas for nationals of 14 countries, effective Sunday, April 13, 2025.
The suspension applies to nationals from the following countries:
Algeria
Bangladesh
Egypt
India
Indonesia
Iraq
Jordan
Libya
Morocco
Nigeria
Pakistan
Sudan
Tunisia
Yemen
The affected visa categories include:
Business Visit Visas (single and multiple entry)
E-Tourist Visas
Family Visit Visas
Individuals who already hold a valid short-term visa will still be allowed entry into Saudi Arabia until that date (13th April 2025). These visitors must exit the country no later than April 29, 2025, to avoid penalties.
Failure to comply with the exit deadline will result in a fine of SAR 100,000.
This move is part of Saudi Arabia's broader strategy to regulate pilgrim inflow and uphold public safety during one of the busiest travel periods of the year.
