Move One Relocations Insider | CIS Migration Trends 2025 – Effective November 2025

ree

Overview:

The General Confederation of Trade Unions reports major shifts in migration across the CIS. The region is adopting more digital, transparent, and worker-focused systems to enhance compliance, protection, and mobility for professionals and employers.

Key Changes

CIS countries — including Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, and Moldova — are rolling out e-visas, biometric IDs, and online migration platforms to simplify processes while enforcing stricter documentation standards.

Governments are increasing oversight of irregular employment through advanced verification and fingerprinting. Meanwhile, integration within the CIS and EAEU is growing via mutual qualification recognition, easier cross-border employment, and shared pension schemes.

New residence options such as Digital Nomad and skilled talent visas are emerging to attract professionals and remote workers. Uzbekistan and Tajikistan are also improving migrant protection with support funds and legal aid abroad.

Important Notes

This marks a dual shift: faster digital processing alongside tighter regulation. Employers and assignees should ensure documentation and compliance align with evolving national rules to avoid delays.
