1. Full Digitalization of Residence Applications

   • Senate approval of the Act on Foreigners amendment (November 6, 2025) introduces the MOS system for online submission of residence permit applications.

   • Paper-based processes will be replaced by a streamlined electronic procedure, reducing in-person visits.

2. Temporary Suspension of inPOL Appointment Bookings (November 7, 2025)

   • The Mazowieckie Voivodeship Office in Warsaw has disabled in-person booking for residence applications as it transitions to the new system.

   • Applicants should now use MOS and prepare by setting up Profil Zaufany and e-Doręczenia accounts.

3. Increase in Consular Fees (Effective January 1, 2026)

   • Consular fees will rise across Polish embassies and consulates worldwide, affecting visas, passports, and document certifications.

   • Updated tariffs aim to reflect EU standards and operational costs while maintaining exemptions for vulnerable groups.
